Computer-aided Drafting

RWFE’s Computer-aided Design and Drafting (CADD or CAD) services add value to your case by providing 3-dimensional models that can be used as exhibits during trial, negotiations, and other ADR processes. CAD drawings of components provide component visual references to help drive home the opinion of your expert. CAD drawings can be particularly useful in products liability cases which often require experts to develop a reasonable alternative design and demonstrate how the alternative could have prevented the accident from occurring. Where a computer model of an alternative design may not be enough, CAD drawings can be quickly and easily transferred to Computer-aided Manufacturing (CAM) equipment for prototyping which can be used to test the proposed design for proof of concept. For cases involving complicated stress analysis, CAD drawings can be used to perform Finite Element Analysis (FEA).
